This might stay with you?

You’ll come across this phrase at least once in your life!

I’ve come across this phrase—“wait until…”—at every stage of my life.

The first time was after marriage.
Someone asked me how I was doing, and I replied, “Life is great, Alhamdulillah.”
They smiled and said, “Wait until you get pregnant. That’s when life really turns upside down.”

Then came pregnancy. Even in my initial months, I was told,
“Wait until the third trimester. That’s when things get impossible—no sleep, no comfort.”

And yes, some of it was true. Most of it was not.
But here’s what I’ve learned—just because something was difficult for you doesn’t mean it will be the same for someone else. Every mother, every child is different.
Your experience is valid but it doesn’t have to he passed on as fear.

Then comes the newborn phase.
“Wait until they become a toddler,” they say.

When you have a toddler, it turns into chaos,
“Wait until you have your second baby.”

And with two?
“Wait until the third.”

It never really ends, does it?

There’s always a “wait until…” waiting around the corner, ready to overshadow the present moment.

However, trust me—every stage in your life prepares you for the next.
You can’t be more prepared than you already are by simply living the stage you’re in.

So the next time you hear someone say, “wait until…”
smile, take a breath, and come back to yourself.

Because if you’re getting through today,
you will find your way through tomorrow too.
